>Jack Hayden is a former Councillor, Reeve and served as School Board Chairman for the County of Stettler. In 1997, Jack was elected to serve as director for the central district of the Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Counties, and in 1998, was elected as President of the Association, a position he held until his retirement from municipal politics in 2004. During Jack’s years of public service, he has been appointed to represent rural interests on advisory boards in Alberta, reporting to the Ministers of Environment, Agriculture, Energy and Municipal Affairs. Jack served on the Board of Directors of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities from 1998 to 2004, serving as national chairman of the Transportation and Communication committee and Environment committee member. In 2002 Jack was awarded the Queens Golden Jubilee Medal, for service to his community and country. In 2004, Jack was appointed by Prime Minister Martin to represent rural and remote Canadian communities on the Prime Minister’s External advisory committee on Cities and Communities. The report was completed under Prime Minister Harper’s government in June 2006. In June 2006, Jack was placed on the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Roll of Honour. Through 2006, Jack served as rural campaign chair for Premier Ed Stelmach. Elected MLA Drumheller Stettler 2007, Jack went on to be appointed Minister of Infrastructure, Minister of Agriculture and was appointed by Premier Redford as Minister of Tourism Parks and Recreation.
